Busy Schedule Forces EXID To Postpone New Single Release Until Mid-April

EXID was supposed to be coming back with new music this March but a combination of hectic activities and further preparation for their imminent comeback have pushed the release date to mid-April, reports Koreaboo.

This means fans must wait one more month or so for the "Up & Down" singers' fresh comeback, and wait for the agency to decide on whether the April release will be a single or part of a larger album.

Still, Yedang Entertainment insists that the five-member girl group is working hard on the new song despite their busy schedule.

"EXID is completely absorbed in working on their new song these days. Unless something happens the new song is scheduled to be released on the second week of April," the agency was reported to have said.

The girls of EXID have been in high demand following the viral popularity of their "Up & Down" song not only among fans who want to see them perform, but also company sponsors and magazines who want their brands to benefit from the EXID hype.

In February, the group recorded for LG a commercial featuring a new version of "Up & Down" and promoting the new LG U+ phone. The ad drew in more than a million views on YouTube in just a few days after it was uploaded. And this month, EXID's popular member Hani appeared as the cover girl of Geek magazine, wearing sexy outfits that showed off her great legs.

The popularity of EXID though has come with a bit of a backlash, like how detractors have been spreading rumors about Hani being involved in a sex scandal. The group's agency vehemently denied the idol's involvement, calling the claims 'ludicrous."
