The Expendables TV Series Is Coming To Fox; Sylvester Stallone’s Action Star Franchise Takes On New Enemies; Will This Unite Xena and Buffy?

The Expendables TV Series: FOX announced that it will team up with Sylvester Stallone for a TV series based on his action movie franchise "The Expendables." There is no cast attached yet. Stallone is still looking at Justin Bieber for the next "The Expendables" movie. 

Stallone was the writer, creator and star of "The Expendables movies." The TV series will feature legendary TV action stars for its mercenary team, according to Deadline. The Expendables is a Lionsgate property. Lionsgate has been attempting to sell a series based on the movies since at least 2012.Will this unite Xena and Buffy? 

Sylvester Stallone will be the executive producer along with Avi Larner, "The Expendables" producer and Shane Brennan from NCIS, who will be the "Expendables" showrunner.

Deadline reports that Fox plans to "unite iconic TV stars." As far as Expendables casting, there is already speculation that it might star Walker Texas Ranger's Chuck Norris, Don Johnson, Kiefer Sutherland, 24's Kiefer Sutherland, Magnum P.I.'s Tom Selleck, Xena's Lucy Lawless, Quantum Leap's Scott Bakula, Alias' Jennifer Garner, A-Team's Mr. T and Strike Back's Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester.

Chuck Norris already is attached to the Expendables movie franchise.

The Expendables never know when to quit. Some critics are already speculating that it will be a watered-down version of the movie franchise. Sylvester Stallone admitted that making The Expendables 3 a PG-13 action flick was a huge mistake and ate away at the Box Office.
