Following the birth of their daughter, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes wedding bells might ring soon as per latest reports. The couple is allegedly planning to tie the knot this year.

According to an Ok! Magazine insider, the "Hitch" actress previously didn't fancy the idea of getting married. Things have allegedly changed.

"Oh, how times have changed! Just several years ago, Eva Mendes was discussing how 'old-fashioned' the idea of marriage was. Now, the actress is not only talking about getting engaged, but she is also making wedding plans already."

Recently, the "Place beyond the Pines" actor also made headlines for sporting a tattoo. The tattoo bears the nickname of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' daughter, Esme. But it isn't clear if the tattoo's indeed permanent.

If Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' wedding will take place, some are wondering if the "Crazy Stupid Love" actor would retire from his craft.

In an interview with The Times three years ago, Ryan Gosling said that it would be difficult for him to balance fatherhood with his celebrity status.

"When someone comes along [to make babies with] I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen," said the 34-year-old.

Rumors of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' breakup were also persistent but according to an insider of E! News, the couple became stronger because of the newest addition to their romance, their daughter.

"He tells her how sexy and perfect she is all the time...he really is like Noah in 'The Notebook.' It's kind of an inside joke, but he's really romantic. They are both so happy and in love. They wanted to start a family for a while now," said the source.

Prior to Eva Mendes, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams dated for several years after meeting on the set of "The Notebook."
