As former Disney stars, Nick Jonas has nothing but good things to say about cohort Miley Cyrus despite her sometimes controversial image.

During a recent interview with radio hosts Mike E and Emma, Jonas discussed the difficulties of separating from the Disney persona.

"It always needs to feel authentic...sometimes I feel like the steps people take don't necessarily feel that way," said Jonas.

But if he's throwing a diss, it's not at Miley Cyrus.

"I think that she's very smart, I think she knows what she's doing," said the former Jonas Brothers. "She's been incredibly successful, so good for her. I think she's brilliant."

Apparently, so does Miley Cyrus's current boyfriend, Patrick Schwarzengger.

"Miley is telling everyone she's found 'the one,'" said a source to OK! Magazine. "And he's totally under her spell. They're as good as engaged."

Despite the romance, Patrick's mother Maria Shriver is reportedly not keen on the relationship and is "urging" him "to end things" with Cyrus.

"Miley knows that it won't work with his family," continued the source. "But she's madly in love and told Patrick they should run off to a tropical island and even Las Vegas and take the plunge, just the two of them. Miley pretty much sets the agenda in the relationship."

Perhaps some of Shriver's hesitance comes from Miley's controversies, including the recent pregnancy rumors surrounding her and Patrick.

But it appears Billy Ray may be in on the apparent joke.
