On March 11, MUCON and KOCCA announced the lineup for the Official SXSW 2015 K-Pop meetup event. The event will be held on Friday, March 20 at Blackheart from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The K-Pop meetup will provide an opportunity for fans who are visiting SXSW to meet and mingle with several prominent artists. K-Pop Night Out performers Epik High, Crayon Pop, Hitchhiker, Asian Chairshot, EE and Eastern Sidekick will make appearances at the meetup. 

K-Pop Night Out will be held a day prior to the meetup on March 19 at the Elysium. 

Other Korean rock and pop performers who will be present at the event include  [su:m], Big Phony, From the Airport,  HEO, No Brain, YB, the Solutions and Victim Mentality.

In addition to the exciting performers who will be present, the meetup will feature HEO spinning old school K-pop and a live art performance.

The Music festival portion of SXSW 2015 will be held from March 17 through March 22, at various locations throughout Austin,Texas.

There are several events planned for fans of Korean music, in addition to K-Pop Night Out. On Friday, March 20, Seoulsonic will hold their showcase at Majestic Music Hall from 8 p.m. through 1 a.m.  

Korean music continues to become more prominent at SXSW, making it one of the biggest U.S. music events for Asian music, in addition to KCON.
