Twitter Sends CNBLUE Singer Jung Yong Hwa A Personalized Gift

CNBLUE lead singer Jung Yong Hwa opened his mailbox on March 10 to find a gift box from the online social networking platform Twitter. When he opened the box, out came a Jenga set - not just the usual one that can be found in hobby game stores, but with personalized engravings on its wooden blocks.

Jenga is a basically a game of hand dexterity where players take turns pulling out blocks from a vertical stack and placing it on top of the stack, creating an increasingly taller and wobbly tower. The player that fails to pull out a block loses the game.

Yong Hwa thanked Twitter, posting a couple of photos of the special Jenga gift as well as its box. But eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that the box Twitter sent had a very slight slip-up: The box was addressed to @JYH_effect, when it should have been @JYHeffect, the official Twitter handle of the idol.

The Jenga set should come in handy as a form of portable recreation as the idol prepares for his upcoming string of concerts in Asia. He is set to perform in Hong Kong on March 19, then on to Beijing, Bangkok and Taipei in the subsequent weeks. His Beijing concert in particular is expected to be jam-packed as he performs at the National Indoor Stadium.

Already in the spotlight for being the lead singer of CNBLUE and a rising Korean drama actor, Jung Yong Hwa's popularity has been further solidified by the chart-topping success of his solo album, One Fine Day, released in January. The solo album sold more than 100,000 in Korea alone.
