'Three Musketeers' Star Kim Sung Min Reportedly Busted For Meth Possession A 2nd Time In Undercover Raid By South Korean Authorities

This is not the good kind of déjà vu.

Four years after receiving a 30-month jail sentence for the possession and ingestion of narcotics, South Korean actor Kim Sung Min has been arrested for the same offense, according to report on Wednesday in the South Korean newspaper the Chosun Ilbo.

As with Kim's 2011 conviction, (which also reportedly included smuggling charges), the drug in question in the actor's recent arrest is methamphetamine. Only this time, he was allegedly mixed up with a Cambodian drug smuggling ring that reportedly sold their product over the Internet.

The Drug Enforcement Team at the Kyunggi Police Department, investigating the online drug trafficking operation, ensnared Kim completely by coincidence, according to an official statement published by the Korean entertainment news website Soompi.

"While investigating dealer A's phone calls, we found out that Kim Sung Min has purchased .8 of a gram of meth," the Kyunggi Police statement read.

"He purchased the drug over the Internet. He received it through private mail delivery on Nov. 24 of last year. An acquaintance of his received it first and [Kim used the meth] in a nearby motel afterwards."

According to police, the actor who starred in the 2014 Korean TV drama "The Three Musketeers," claims to have only used the online meth delivery service on one occasion.

"Kim Sung Min has admitted to taking the drug once in a motel near his home," the statement read. "He acknowledged his possession of the drug but claimed that he has only done the drug once. We will continue investigating this matter."

Police reportedly questioned Kim's claim he had only used methamphetamine on one occasion, due to the large amount of the drug allegedly in his system.

"The amount is enough for 16 intravenous injections, an unnamed Kyunggi Police source told a reporter from the Seoul Broadcasting System news program "TV News At Night."

"We didn't find anything when we arrested him, but he admitted to having used it once."

Kim was dropped from the cast of the Korean reality show "Qualifications Of Men" following his 2010 drug arrest. He had reportedly clawed his way back into show business after taking a two-year hiatus, appearing in the cable TV dramas "Can We Get Married" in 2012 and "Can't Take It Anymore" the following year.

Though the actor was let off with two years of probation after reportedly only serving three months of his prison sentence, it is unclear what the previous conviction will mean for Kim's chances of leniency, this time around, with a judge.

"If I didn't get probation, I wouldn't be here," he said in a 2013 interview.

"I'd be locked up somewhere. I said this at court too, but I want to show that a man who's made mistakes doesn't make the same mistake again and improves. I would like a chance."
