Kim Jae Joong donated $50,000 to his alma mater to help development of the school.

Kim Jae Joong, in time for end of the year, donated $20,000 to GonJu elementary and $30,000 to GonJu SaDae junior high school.

With this donation, GongJu elementary will upgrade the computers in the libraries and computer labs and drinking water fountains were laid out. Also the junior high school will have scholarships and school supply needed for the special classrooms. The donation will also be used for the baseball team in the elementary school and swim team in the junior high school.

Kim Jae Joong stated "I wanted to give back for all the love I received this past year to a place where I grew up learning to give. I wanted to help the juniors in my alma mater. I wanted to see the teachers and my juniors to give them the money myself but unfortunately I couldn't do so. I really want to visit when I get the chance. I hope the students will be able to study in a better environment when the school starts again".

Kim Jae Joong sent his signature and message to Gong Ju junior high students during the vacation ceremony and the students reponded to their senior's genuine love enthusiastically.

Gonju Sadae Junior High principle Goo Gi Nam stated "We're really thankful for the heart of Kim Jae Joong who thinks about his alma mater and the students even after graudation. The students couldn't hide their joy at the news of Kim Jae Joon's donation. We're so proud to see our school's student giving to his juniors after becoming Asia's star. Just as Kim Jae Joong blossomed his talents and skills, we hope to see his juniors taking after him and becoming a leader in out country. Thank you for gifting our junior high with a special vacation ceremony."
