According to Huffington Post, “the 26-year-old stuck to her natural brunette roots, but ditched her bangs and styled her locks into a fresh "blunt bob," as seen on her Instagram account on Wednesday.”

There are many speculations as to why Vanessa Hudgens made the dramatic haircut decision. One of them was that she gave herself a bob after being cast in Fox's live version of "Grease," set to air next year.

Another is that her boyfriend Austin Butler broke it off with ‘Gigi’ Broadway star. Seeing how he has been missing from her Instagram feed for weeks, it make sense that she would depart with her beloved long locks.

While Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler have been inseparable during Christmas and New Years, it looks like their hectic schedules are preventing each other from spending a lot of time together.

Since ‘Gigi’ moved from Kennedy Center to Broadway, Vanessa Hudgens has not posted a single Instagram post about her boyfriend. But instead, she has been taking a lot of selfies as well as the Broadway sign for the musical that she is starring in.

‘Gigi’ musical actress has been filling her Instagram with snaps of the musical gearing for it’s opening at Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway.

According to Variety, ‘High School Musical’ alum nailed the performance. The reviewer writes:

“Performances on the whole are sturdy. Hudgens delivers a solid performance in a challenging role that requires a transition from impetuous brat to mature young woman. A strong singer, Hudgens nails both her vocal and dancing duties, with the former especially showcased in Act One’s spunky “The Parisians.”
