An idol, an actor, and a singer-turned-variety show star are the most popular Korean stars in China, according to a recent survey.

The results are in for the Chinese "2014 Korean Star Influencer Chart," and actor Kim Soo Hyun is the most popular Hallyu star in China, followed by Kim Jong Kook, a singer and variety star, and f(x) member Krystal.

Krystal is the most popular Korean idol and female in China, according to the survey, in part due to her role on popular drama The Heirs.

Kim Soo Hyun's role in You Who Came From The Stars and Kim Jong Kook's popularity from Running Man landed them in the top two spots.

Other stars included on the list were Krystal's sister and former Girls' Generation Jessica, actor Lee Jun Ki, T-ara's Park Ji Yeon, Park Shi Hoo, and many others.

Korean netizens were concerned with Krystal's relationship to Jessica, who left Girls' Generation in 2014. Some of the most popular comments on the original MyDaily article expressed both support and worry for the f(x) member.

"Her popularity would probably be through the roof if she did a unit with Jessica in China," said one commenter.

"Oh how she must be suffering because of Jessica... Krystal fighting~!!" said another Korean netizen.

Others commented about the popularity of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Jong Kook.

Almost all of the highest voted Korean stars were actors or had appeared in popular Hallyu dramas.

T-ara was the only idol group ranked in the top of the survey, despite the girl group's struggle to regain popularity in South Korea after a variety of scandals that ruined the girl group's image.

No popular male idol group or solo singer made the list.

f(x) last made a comeback in July 2014 with the song "Red Light." It is unknown whether f(x) will make a comeback in 2015, or whether Krystal will appear in an upcoming drama.

Kim Soo Hyun recently signed onto the upcoming KBS drama, Producer. Kim Jong Kook is currently appearing on Running Man.
