‘Insurgent’ Movie: 5 Touching Scenes To Watch Out For

As "Insurgent" movie hits theater screens, fans must be prepared for emotional scenes. The sequel is different from the first film in terms of visual aspects because fans will finally get the chance to thoroughly see where the members of Amity, Candor, and the Factionless live.

Shailene Woodley and Theo James previously hinted that the sequel is more serious because one truth can ruin the faction. Here are some moving scenes featured in "Insurgent" movie.

1. Tris admits that he killed Will.

In "Divergent," Tris had no choice but to kill Will, who was then shooting her because he was under the influence of a serum. Upon reaching Candor, Tris and Four were asked to answer leader Jack's questions after being injected with the Truth serum. Tris then admits that she killed Will which understandably pained her closest friend, Christina.

2. Peter gets the chance to redeem himself.

Miles Teller's character stood out in the sequel because aside from his sarcastic one-liners, he also managed to make up to Tris by saving her life. In an interview with Hero Complex, Teller talked about Peter's redemption.

"That's what you're hoping [you're able] to do. In the first movie I didn't really have too many redeeming qualities. In the second one, at least for me, I got to do a little more. You're always thankful for those opportunities because it just kind of further complicates your character and makes him more interesting," he said.

3. Tris saves a Divergent child from Eric's ruthless hands.

"You can take a girl out of Abnegation but you can never take Abnegation out of a girl," Peter told Tris in the film. This statement is true when Tris fought Eric who was about to kill an innocent Divergent child. The girl is originally from Candor but tested positive for Divergent.

4. Theo reveals his reason for not leaving Dauntless.

Tris is not the only one who revealed her secrets under the Truth serum. When Jack asked him why he didn't leave Dauntless after finding out about its stealthy partnership with Erudite, Theo said that he wanted to leave. However, meeting and falling in love with Tris changed the whole thing.

5. Tris gets a chance to see her mother for the last time.

Tris still blames herself for the death of her parents but in one scene, she managed to speak with her mother. Even if it was only a simulation, that much-needed embrace was enough to encourage Tris to fight.
