SHINee's Key showed off his new pink-colored hairstyle at the set of his new hosting gig as an MC for Mnet's weekly music show M! Countdown.

The idol posted a shot of him on Instagram with fellow MC and CNBLUE bassist Jungshin. The two were beaming as they held up a large sign of their show, and looked poised in their respective suits and ties, but fans could not help but home in on Key's standout 'do.

"OMG your hair oppa," "Wow! Your hair looks fabulous!" said supportive fans.

But a few commenters could not get over the outrageous hairstyle with its stringy consistency and color, but they still agreed that if anyone could pull it off, it would be Key and his daring fashionista personality.

"What's with your hair? But you still rock it though!"

Key's followers also expressed their support for the idol in what will be a new, and possibly challenging, hosting role.

"Fighting baby! Don't be nervous OK."

Key is not entirely new to appearing on a regular TV show. In 2014, he was a regular cast on the MBC show Star Gazing, but it is notably his first time hosting. Most of Key's other acting roles have been on musical theater, having starred in Korean productions of Catch Me If You Can, Bonnie and Clyde, The Three Musketeers, and Zorro.

Key and Jungshin were announced as the hosts of M! Countdown back in February. The show routinely switches up its hosting line-up with a mix of actors and idols. Previous hosts include F.T. Island's Lee Hongki, actor Kim Woo Bin, actor-model Anh Jae Hyun and singer Jung Joon Young.
