Kanye West New Album ‘So Help Me God’ To Follow Kendrick Lamar’s Musical Style? Yeezus Back In The Studio!

Kanye West is on his way to make a follow up to his "Yeezus" album as he is reportedly back in the studio to record his "So Help Me God" LP.

In a report by Latin Post, West confirmed in a tweet last Tuesday that he is back recording and claimed that the new record by Kendrick Lamar, "To Pimp A Butterfly," has inspired him to make music.

This paved way for rumors and speculations that the 37-year-old rapper would make a more mellow and groovy sound for his follow up to his 2013 release.

With this in mind, Lamar was thrilled to have inspired Kanye and said that the "Yeezus" tour was an eye opener for him and respects West for what he plans on his new album.

"It was hard for me to grasp it on the first take," Lamar said in an interview with MTV. "As I kept listening throughout the week, I understood what he was doing. That was him stepping out the box again and doing what he felt. As an artist, we all need to take heed and salute that."

Furthermore, a friendly rivalry between West and Toronto rapper Drake has also been an inspiration for Kim Kardashian's husband to "create good music." Their past collaborations that proved to be successful is what Yeezy thought of as an inspiration and revealed that making more music together could possibly be expected in the future.

"I look at Drake as an amazing sparring partner," West said. "Someone who's like, 'Come on, man, get back up!' Bow! 'Get back up! What's up, bro? What you doing?'"

"I was sitting there getting fat. Sitting back, just knocked everybody out. And then this guy hits the gym, he's just running around like, bow, 14 hits, same as Paul McCartney. I'm like, 'Whoa. OK. Let me go to the studio, then. Let's see what's happening. Let me get these lyrics up. Let me see what's happening.' So, that's where we at right now, that's where you getting these records from."
