Dragon Ball Z Release Date News Update: Bandai Namco Games began streaming a 15-second TV commercial for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden fighting game. The commercial previews the Dragon Ball characters that will appear in the game. Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will launch for 3DS in Japan on June 11.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden features the battle between Goku versus Vegeta, who are about to have their showdown. Other characters reportedly making appearances will be Great Saiyaman, Videl,  Dende, and King Kai.

According to Rhymestyle, a "Dragon Ball" aficionado popular on YouTube, the new "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden" side scroll fighting game will feature over 100 playable characters.

According to a report in Shueisha V Jump magazine, "Dragon Ball Z: Super Extreme Butōden" is scheduled for a June 11 release. The latest "Dragon Ball" video game for Nintendo 3DS will only be available in Japan.

Anime News Network reported that "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden" will sell for about $47. Special first editions of the latest "Dragon Ball Z" game will also include a Dragon Ball Disk Cross disc featuring gold Frieza from the upcoming movie "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F."

The the first edition of the game will include a code for a downloadable version of Super Nintendo's "Dragon Ball Z Cho Butoduen 2" for the 3DS. The first edition also comes with "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F" Goku card for Dragon Ball Heroes.

FUNimation Entertainment announced at that next Dragon Ball Z Movie, "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F," will be released in North American theaters with an English dub in the summer of 2015.

But Dragon Ball Z fans may be able to watch it as early as April. Funimation Entertainment announced at SXSW that Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F will hit North American theatres this Summer.

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F," will follow Frieza has he is resurrected plans his revenge on the Z-Fighters of Earth. Frieza will be given a hand by Sorbet who comes to Earth to convince Emperor Pilaf to use the Dragon Balls to resurrect Frieza. The mad tyrant Frieza will come back newly transformed creating even more problems for Goku and the gang.

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F" is the first theatrical release for the franchise in 17 years.
