New Pokemon TCG Set Featuring Hoopa Confirmed With Release Date Before The 2015 Movie: Kyurem, Arceus, Reshiram, Dialga, Latias, Regigigas Set For Upcoming Treading Card Game Collection

Before the release of the upcoming Pokemon movie, a brand new TCG set has been announced that will reportedly tie in to "The Archdjinn of Rings: Hoopa."

According to Serebii, the upcoming Pokemon TCG set based off of Pokemon X and Y is called Bandit Ring, and has a release date set for June 20, roughly one month before the release of the new movie.

Reportedly, this TCG set will focus on the newly introduced Hoopa and will have over 97 cards in the set.

In addition, a smaller set has also been announced for July 18, the same date as the movie. This set is called Legendary Shine Collection and will have 27 cards with a variety of legendary Pokemon including Hoopa, Kyurem, Arceus, Reshiram, Dialga, Latias and Regigigas.

As a pre-order bonus for Japanese fans, an animated short has been confirmed as a tie-in for the movie as well.

According to Serebii, 7-11 stores across Japan will be offering a bonus DVD featuring an animated short when Pokemon fans pre-order tickets for the movie due to release on July 18, 2015. The title, roughly translated, is called "The Minidjinn of the Word 'Appear': Hoopa."

"This is a story set when Hoopa's companions Balza and Mary were still children," read the plot synopsis.

"The three of them lived happily together with the villagers in 'Arkhe Valley,' a place far from Désser City where Hoopa later meets Ash and the others. Everyone there loved Hoopa's rings, which could make anything and everything appear! One day, the three of them were helping an old woman make donuts. Hoopa's eyes started glittering at the sight of these round treats it had never seen before! But when Hoopa's rings get used to make donuts, things quickly get silly!"

Reportedly, this pre-order bonus will be available starting on March 7 across 7-11 stores in Japan.
