Big Bang, 2NE1 The Only K-Pop Acts Nominated For 2015 YouTube Awards

YG Entertainment artists Big Bang and 2NE1 are the only K-pop artists to be chosen as one of the 50 awardees for the 2015 YouTube Music Awards.

On Tuesday, YouTube posted on YTMA FACT’s twitter about 13 of the 50 awardees from the award ceremony.

Out of the teams mentioned, Big Bang and 2NE1 were the only K-pop artists out of all the awardees. They were seen next to big names such as Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Drake and other artists.

They revealed that Big Bang’s YouTube channel has received a total of over views while 2NE1’s “Come Back Home” music video received over views.

“The list of those 50 artists was selected based on number of clicks and subscribers for the past six months,” said YouTube posted on YG Family’s official blog on March 3. “These artists have proven the fact that YouTube is not just a place to launch new music and meet fans around the world, but a place where artists and fans can be truly connected.”

Big Bang is currently preparing for their first comeback after a three year hiatus while 2NE1’s leader CL is working on her US debut this spring.
