Chinese TV Drama 'God of War Zhao Yun' Gives Sneak Peek Of Girls' Generation's Yoona On Set

Chinese drama God of War Zhao Yun gave fans another sneak peek at Yoona's character with the release of a new still cut photo. In the picture, Yoona appears surprised while wearing a vibrant yellow dress with intricate shoulder details and ribbons of silk around her waist. She has flowers in her hair and is twiddling her fingers with uncertainty.

The historical drama centers on military general and folklore favorite Zhao Yun, a celebrated warrior and member of the Five Tiger Generals under Liu Bei. Yoona plays Xiahou Qing Yi, the lead's love interest. She is a naive girl who falls in love with Zhao Yun, but then discovers that he killed her father.

The drama will begin airing on Hunan TV in August.

Anticipation is high for the production, since this is Yoona's first television role since the KBS2 Korean drama Prime Minister & I in 2013.

Yoona recently posed for the March issue of Elle China while wearing gorgeous pearl necklaces from Chanel's Cruise 2014-2015 collection. She also starred in a "Tropical Dream" pictorial for the April issue of Ceci wearing apparel and accessories from O'2nd's 2015 Spring collection.

Yoona's K-pop girl group, Girls' Generation, will be returning to the Japanese music scene in April with the release of "Catch Me If You Can." The band will return to Korea in May, to release a brand new album.
