JYJ's Jaejoong Breaks Down In Tears 1 Week Before Military Enlistment At Fan Meeting In Yokohama, Japan

JYJ band member Jaejoong fought back his tears at a fan meeting in Yokohama, Japan on Tuesday, one week before his planned March 31 enlistment in the South Korean army.

“Jaejoong held his Triangle fan meeting at the Yokohama Arena,” read a statement from C-jES Entertainment posted in an article by Naver on Wednesday.

“He revealed behind-the-scene stories from filming the drama ‘Triangle’ and also sang a few original songs from the drama.”

Jaejoong even reportedly reenacted several scenes from  “Trangle” to a rapturous reception from fans.

“I have been healed after meeting all of you," the JYJ vocalist told the crowd. "I will return in two years as a strong and healthy man.”

Before heading off to the military, Jaejoong will perform at The Beginning of the End concert at Korea University on March 28 and 29.

All eligible males between the ages of 18 and 35 currently must enroll for between 21 and 24 months of military service in South Korea. The length of mandatory enlistment changes by several months depending on which branch of the military they serve in.
