BTOB’s New Single ‘Future’ Ranks 2nd On Japan’s Oricon Daily Single Chart

Group BTOB’s new Japanese single, “Future,” has ranked second on Japan’s Oricon Daily Single Chart on the day of its release.

They sold over 70,000 copies in the first day, selling over twice as much as Japanese dance group AAA, who was in third place on the same chart.

They have only debuted in Japan for five months with two singles and have already made great progress on the charts.

They have also topped Japan’s Tower Records’ Sales ranking chart as well.

The group worked with popular Japanese producer Tada Shinyawa for their song, “Future” and received much attention.

They also held a press conference on Thursday at the Tower Records in Shibuya to celebrate their high ranking on the chart.

“We tried to work hard without thinking about rankings, so we were so happy to hear that we had placed second,” said member Jung Il Hoon posted on OSEN on Thursday.

“We received much love with our Japanese debut album and we are so grateful for the support once again,” said Leader Suh Eun Kwang.

The group made their Japanese duet last November with their single, “WOW,” and held a live performance showcase in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and other cities.

This past Sunday, the held the official opening ceremony for their official Japanese fan club, Melody Japan.

They are currently holding a an album release event in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo until March 30 to promote their new single.
