Celine Dion Cries Over Husband's Cancer Battle; 'My Heart Will Go On' Singer Recalls Treatment Ordeal

Celine Dion was crying as she shared her husband's cancer battle and treatment ordeal.

Tears were rolling down the eyes of the "My Heart Will Go On" singer as she opened up about her experience with ABC News reporter Deborah Roberts.

The 46-year-old singer took a break for a year from showbiz to attend to her 73-year-old husband and manager René Angélil who is suffering from throat cancer.

"He can't eat so I feed him. He's got a feeding tube. I have to feed him three times a day," the devoted wife and mother shared in an interview in Las Vegas. René Angélil was also present during the event.

René Angélil has been battling throat cancer for 15 years already and Celine Dion learned that her husband's cancer recurred only last Deceber 2013. The singer was just as she was about to go out on national television to perform at that time.

"I went back in my dressing room and I saw him looking pretty devastated, in shock, and I was like, 'What's going on. He said, 'I have cancer again. The doctor just called me and I have cancer again.' At that moment, honestly, my heart started to beat faster but my body shut off," Celine Dion said.

"So I didn't know how to go along. He needed my support and I was like, 'OK. I'm going to go sing. I'm going to go put makeup on and I'm going to go sing 'Incredible' and I'm going to forget how I feel right now," the singer recalled.

The 2004 "World Music Awards" winner for being the best-selling female artist of all time confessed that while she was singing in front of a camera, she was actually not feeling good already.

"I sang the song and then reality started to strike," she said. "It took a toll on me," Celine Dion, who is considered as one of the best-selling artists of all time, said.

When it comes to their children, Celine Dion somehow had fears on how to explain to them her husband's condition. The couple has three sons, a 14-year-old and four-year-old fraternal twins.

"I really believe that children know it all. We are afraid of explaining because we're scared, because we're worried," the "My Heart Will Go On" singer said.

"If you tell the kids. like I said to my children, 'You want to come and help me feed papa today...You want to help me out? Want to hold the water? You are a good feeder. Good job, Nelson. Good job, Eddie. Thank you so much. Come on, give a kiss to papa," Celine Dion added.
