Katy Perry Gives John Mayer Dose Of His Own Medicine? 'Free Fallin' Singer, 'Roar' Hitmaker Agree To Split For Good?

Katy Perry made John Mayer jealous during their brief reunion, a British tabloid alleged, as the "Fireworks" singer and the musician playboy have reportedly agreed to split for good.

According to the latest report from Grazia magazine per Music News, Katy Perry was out to make John Mayer jealous.

"She wanted to play John at his own game. Katy's been in a state of constant jealousy during their on/off relationship, and wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine," the report said.

"When they got back together, John promised that things would be different this time, so she agreed to give him another chance, but rumors of his philandering continue," the source added.

"She decided that if he's not going to fully commit, neither will she. Her hope was that if John saw her socializing with other men, he'd see what he stands to lose."

E! News reported that Katy Perry and John Mayer's experiment is over after they tried to have another go at it.

A source close to John Mayer told the website that he has been telling friends that he and Katy Perry are "over for good."

"Their latest breakup was not caused by Perry's touring, but rather a 'lack of emotional interest on his end.' Or to be more blunt, Mayer is telling pals he 'fell out of love with Perry but will always love her,'" the report added.

A previous report from tabloid Radar Online, Katy Perry and John Mayer split was a result of a different kind of jealousy, but on the "Free Fallin'" singer's end.

"The fact that he does not have anything major going on with his career is really starting to take a toll on their relationship. Katy is at an all-time high. She is starting to give in to what everyone around her is saying, that maybe she is too good for him," the article alleged.
