'Akame Ga Kill!' Anime Remake Coming After The Manga Ends? Fans Open To The Idea

"Akame Ga Kill!" is one of the more popular manga in Japan right now and as a testament of its popularity, it received an anime adaptation. However, it was not well received by many of its fans. In an effort to salvage the series, a remake is rumored to be underway after the manga ends.

The anime adaptation took a different path after episode 18 and the "Wild Hunt" and the "Elite Seven" groups were not introduced at all.

The anime adaptation received mix reviews from its viewers as the dialogues were deemed cringe worthy. Richard Eisenbeis of Kotaku gave his final thoughts on the anime.

"I can see why fans of shonen fighting anime would like Akame Ga Kill-it's basically a more grown-up version of what fans love but with more violence and less character plot armor." He said. "It's got dynamic action, awesomely designed heroes and villains, and looks great to boot. However, the way it tends to undercut its dramatic moments and kill off its main characters with little in the way of backstory and/or character development beforehand makes it hard for me to connect emotionally with-and thus care about-the characters."

"Moreover, in a fantasy world where the main characters are strikingly mortal, I find it impossible to suspend disbelief at many of the anime's more contrived or over-the-top elements. In the end, while I don't think it is a horrible anime, it is clearly one that is not for me" He added.

Fans have made it known that they did not like the step the anime took and a remake would be a welcome news for them.
