Lee Newton, Trisha Hershberger Leaving Sourcefed: Fans Mourn The Loss Of The Original 3

In three years, it seems poetic that Sourcefed has also lost all three members of the original three hosts, as well as longtime fan favorite Trisha Hershberger.
Last week, both Lee Newton and Trisha Hershberger announced their departure from Sourcefed. They would follow Joe Beretta, Elliott Morgan (who were, with Newton, the original trio of hosts), Meg Turney and Ross Everett.
"Thank you for having me in your life," said Newton in her finale Sourcefed video. "I'm honestly so proud of what we've made here, of what we just started out, me, Joe and [Elliott]. But I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that with you guys it's gonna be great."
Similarly, Hershberger posted a video on her personal YouTube channel explaining her departure on Wednesday.
"I'm leaving because after doing something for three years, no matter how awesome it is, you get that kind of weird creator bug in you that's just yearning for a new challenge," said Hershberger, who recently became engaged.
"I will be joining the awesomely talented group of creators who make video content over at Escapist."
For some fans, the announcement of two very big departures are hitting them hard.
"So when Joe left, I was depressed," wrote YouTube viewer The guy with the thing. "Now that Lee is leaving is too much. Then insult to injury, Trisha is leaving also. Out only species of originals is the elusive Steve. Once he leaves, there shall be no joy left in Sourcefed."
But these departures are also being supported by the previously departed hosts of Sourcefed, including Elliott Morgan.
"Very excited for you, Trisha," wrote Morgan on YouTube.
"Change is scary and necessary and good. You're incredibly talented and one of the sweetest people I know in the world. Break a leg out there!"
