EXO's 'Exodus' Gives Taylor Swift's '1989' A Run For Its Money On The iTunes Global Albums Chart

Watch out, T-Swizzle, EXO-L is on its way.

On March 30, less than 24 hours since being released in two different languages, EXO's second full-length album "Exodus" took the global music world by storm. The album's international sales peaked so quickly that "Exodus" could knock Taylor Swift's "1989" from the fourth spot on iTunes' album chart.

The Korean version of "Exodus" entered iTunes global album chart  the same day that it was released, and rose to the fifth spot on the chart, trailing behind Kendrick Lamar, Sam Smith, Drake, and Taylor Swift.

The Chinese version also appeared in the top 30 albums on iTunes.

While international EXO-L (EXO's official fan club members) used its purchasing power to bring "Exodus" onto the iTunes album chart, EXO's fans in Korea also brought "Exodus" and individual songs from the album onto Korean music charts.

The album's title track "Call Me Baby" debuted in the number one spot on Melon's real time chart, while the Chinese version of the same song took the number fourth spot.  Other songs from the album took spots in the top fifteen.

EXO's 2015 comeback album ranked on other Korean charts, such as Genie and the instiz iChart.

The album and title track competed with miss A's comeback song "Only You" and new album, "Colors."

Songs featured on the Korean rap survival show Unpretty Raptor also competed for top spots in Korea on March 30.
