Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov is only strengthening their romance as clay court season approaches. It sounds like Mari officially pushed aside Serena Williams as a threat both romantically and professionally.

Maria’s boyfriend recently updated his tagline on Instagram as: “What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.”

Sounds like he sees Maria Sharapova not just as a girlfriend, but a soulmate.

Maria Sharapova and her boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov have been trying to dominate the tennis world together, but the games in beginning of 2015 has not been the kindest to them. However, the fact that Baby Fed is willing to work on his relationship as well as his career shows that the couple will have a long and fruitful partnership.

In a recent interview with Reuters, Maria Sharapova confirmed some details about her rivalry with Serena Williams.

“She’s at the peak of her career. I am now number two in the world,” she said. “I feel like we’re still driven and hungry to be the best tennis players. I don’t think anyone in the tennis world believed that, in 10 years’ time, we would still be rivals. I think it’s an incredible story.”

As most of her fans know, the rivalry between Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams hasn’t strictly been professional. They did once fight over Grigor Dimitrov as well!

But the fact that Maria and Grigor are now thinking about having kids means that there isn’t any room for Serena Williams to budge in anymore. That’s not surprising knowing that the Russian player and her boyfriend have been together for over three years now.

World number 2 and Grigor Dimitrov have been saying a lot of positive things about each other, but never really admitted to having a future planned out to the public. But in a recent interview, Maria Sharapova revealed that having a family is one of the priorities of her life.

According to Mid-Day, “Sharapova opened up about her plans of having children: “I’d love to have a family, obviously (but it needs to be) when I’m no longer playing and I can really dedicate time.””

With his support, the Russian beauty was tipped as a heavy favorite at Acapulco tournament until her stomach virus kicked in. But good thing that she is back healthy for BNP Paribas Open!

“We really don't have that much time during the tournament because our schedules are quite different and sometimes we end up playing the matches on different days,” Maria Sharapova confessed according to Daily Mail.
