'Seraph Of The End' Anime Release Date Confirmed, Funimation To Stream Series Outside Japan

Although some anime fans may be more excited about the return of series like "Digimon" and "Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works," there's still plenty of brand new anime series to keep fans looking for newness satisfied.

The brand new "Seraph of the End" anime series had secured its Japanese release date a couple of weeks ago but now Funimation has now also confirmed that it will stream the series this spring 2015 anime season. Fans with Funimation subscriptions will be able to stream "Seraph of the End" outside of Japan starting April 4.

Fans are showing much excitement that "Seraph of the End" will be streamed on Funimation:

"Easily the show I've been most excited for from this season, so I'm totally okay with this," commented Phantom Roxas in an ANN forum.

"I smell a dub/home video rights in the future. With it being simulcasted in America and most European countries including UK thanks to Anime Ltd I hope things go well with this title... because it looks so awesome!" exclaimed #Immie93.

Anime News Network reports that the previously announced main cast includes Miyu Irino as Yuichiro Hyakuya, Kensho Ono as Mikaela Hyakuya, Yuichi Nakamura as Guren (Glen) Ichinose, Takahiro Sakurai as Felid Bathory, Saori Hayami as Shinoa Hiiragi, Kaito Ishikawa as Shiho Kimizuki, Yuka Iguchi as Mitsuba Sangu, Tomoaki Maeno as Kureto Hiragi, and Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Shinya Hiragi.

These voice cast members will be joined by Aoi Yuki as Krul Tepes and Kenichi Suzumura as Crowly. The series will be directed by Daisuke Tokudo with character designs by Satoshi Kadowaki and scripts by Hiroshi Seko. Hiroyuki Sawano, who recently composed soundtracks for "Attack on Titan" and "Aldnoah.Zero," will be scoring the music for the series.

"Seraph of the End," which is based on the manga by Takaya Kagami, Daisuke Furuya, and Yamato Yamamoto, is described on My Anime List as follows:

"One day, a mysterious virus appeared on Earth which killed every infected human over the age of 13. At the same time, vampires emerged from the world's dark recesses and enslaved mankind.

Enter Hyakuya Yuuichirou, a young boy, who along with the rest of the children from his orphanage, are treated as livestock by the vampires. Even in captivity, Yuuichirou dreams big. He dreams of killing vampires. He dreams of killing them all."
