BoA, Big Bang, Confirm First Albums In Three Years

"Wow, Fantastic Baby," was overplayed the last time two of Hallyu's most popular acts released albums, but 2015 will bring new music from both Big Bang and BoA.

SM Entertainment announced that solo artist BoA will release her first Korean album since 2012 within 24 hours of YG Entertainment confirming idol group Big Bang's first Korean comeback since the same year.

The two acts are two of the highest profile comebacks in 2015, due to the lack of activity from BoA and Big Bang as a group.

YG Entertainment teased fans of Big Bang for several days prior to the announcement on April 1, confirming that Big Bang would be making its comeback as a five member act in 2015. The group promoted for the majority of the past three years as individuals, except during concert tours.

According to YG entertainment's CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, called the album, "The highlight of their 10-year career."

BoA's comeback was announced on April 2, reports the K-Pop Herald.

"BoA is preparing to release a new album in Korea," an SM Entertainment representative said. "But the exact date has not been confirmed."

This will be BoA's fifteenth year under SM Entertainment, and this will be her eleventh Korean album. She debuted at the age of 13 in 2000.

No date has been confirmed for either BoA's or Big Bang's comeback, but YG Entertainment announced a list including the first of each month from May through, with each date allegedly the release date of new songs.

Along with BoA and Big Bang's comebacks, YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment announced high profile comebacks in upcoming months from popular Korean acts including Psy, Girls' Generation, and SHINee.
