Girls' Generation 'I Got A Boy' Praised by Billboard 'Most Forward Thinking Lead Pop Singles'
Girls' Generation's fourth album I Got A Boy was released worldwide on January 1 and just few days later Billboard praised the new song.
Billboard yesterday released a review of "I Got A Boy" as part of their first track-by-track review of a non-English album. The title song was praised as "one of the most-forward thinking lead pop singles heard in any country."
They added, "'I Got A Boy' is not one sound, but five completely different sounds stuffed for widespread music consumption. With polished K-Pop confections that combine elements of forward-thinking EDM, classis and modern R&B, 80s new wave and more. It should more than satisfy not only K-Pop fans but also listeners of all types of popular music."
Also regarding "Dancing Queen" that was revealed in December of last year stated, "Releasing this nostalgic, cutesy K-Pop track worked nicely as a precursor to throw off the confident sounds of 'I Got A Boy.'"
Their music video of "I Got A Boy" released on YouTube is currently passed 17 million views and songs on the album has dominated the music sites proving the girls immense popularity.
