For Group's Comeback, Girls' Generation Fans Push 'Mr. Taxi' Dance Version Music Video To 100 Million Views

Girls' Generation fans can pat themselves in the back for a job well done - the fandom's efforts have helped push the "Mr. Taxi" dance version music video past 100 million views on YouTube in time for the group's comeback.

"Mr. Taxi" is the fourth Girls' Generation video to hit 100 million views on YouTube, reports Allkpop.

The group also clinched a couple of industry achievements, namely being the first K-Pop group to reach that number of views for a Japanese promotion, as well as "Mr. Taxi" becoming the most watched dance version of a K-Pop music video.

"Mr. Taxi" has been one of the most popular music videos of Girls' Generation, but it had been hovering just below 100 million views a few days before the girls were set to drop the new music video for their comeback track "Catch Me If You Can".

Fans began to rally behind the idea of pushing "Mr. Taxi" to 100 million views so that the group could reach a new milestone in time for their grand return to the Japanese and Korean music scene ("Catch Me If You Can" will be promoted first in Japan then in Korea)

True enough, "Mr. Taxi" reached 100 million views on April 9, on the same day as the release of the "Catch Me If You Can" music video (Korean version) re-posted below.

The new video shows that the popularity of Girls' Generation is still strong as ever, reaching 1 million views in less than a day. Fans complimented the powerful dance choreography and catchy dance beats of "Catch Me If You Can" as well as the stunning beauty of all eight girls.

"The dance is sick OMG", "The song is perfect for this dance!" and "It's so catchy!" said fans on YouTube.
