Girls' Generation Featured in TIME Magazine as a Challenger to Psy's 'Gangnam Style'

Girls' Generation was recently featured on TIME magazine shared about the bright future of the group.

TIME's magazine yesterday published an article with the title "Can the New Single from K-Pop Stars Girls' Generation Challenge 'Gangnam Style'?"

TIME cited the Girls' Generation's music video of their hit title track "I Got a Boy" to have garnered more than 25 million views since December 31. And currently stands second on YouTube music charts behind Psy's "Gangnam Style."

SM Entertainment U.S. marketing representative Jane Choi shared the biggest viewership of YouTube's video is in the United States. Feels like the U.S. market has been wanting the Girls." She added Psy's success of hyped interest for K-Pop all around the world was beneficial to the group for their plans in the United Sates.

TIME reports Interscope Records is in talks to release the Girls' first full-length American album later this year. The upcoming album is to include a version of "I Got a Boy," however no further details are known at this time.
