Speculations claim that Munn's character will be introduced in "Apocalypse" in a small role, and expand later on in following "X-Men" titles such as Ryan Reynold's "Deadpool" and Channing Tatum's "Gambit." She's also being rumored for the untitled "X-Men" film (widely believed to be X-Force) in 2018.

Over the past few weeks, Singer has attached several new talents in familiar roles, set to appear in the upcoming movie. "EastEnders" actor Ben Hardy is set to portray Angel (previously played by Ben Foster), while uprising talent Lana Condor has been cast to play mutant Jubillee.

While additions have been made, some actors have announced that they are leaving X-Men's shared cinematic universe.

"The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays young Mystique in the series, went public to say that "Apocalypse" would be her last "X-Men" movie. "First Class" and "Days of Future past" co-star Nicholas Hoult, playing Beast in the franchise, also announced that the upcoming film is the last "X-Men" film in his contract.

Hugh Jackman, the actor who popularized mutant Wolverine on the big screen, announced on his social media pages that he's playing the character for "one last time."

Here's the lineup of upcoming "X-Men" films:

"Deadpool" arrives in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016, "X-Men: Apocalypse" on May 27, 2016,"Gambit" on Oct. 7, 2016, "Wolverine 3" (unofficial title) on Mar. 3, 2017 and a rumored "X-Force" film on July 13, 2018.
