'M! Coutdown' Delays Broadcast In Remembrance Of Sewol Ferry Accident

Mnet's M! Countdown will not broadcast its regular episode on Thursday, April 16.

The popular TV music show will change their broadcast schedule in order to remember the victims that were lost during the Sewol ferry accident one year ago.

With South Koreans across the country paying their respects to the 300 victims of last year's tragic accident, the staff at the music program felt that all entertainment shows should halt their activities for one day.

Mnet's M! Countdown's broadcast will be moved to Friday, April 17 at 5:00 p.m. KST. Many of your favorite K-pop artists will entertain their fans on Friday. M! Countdown will resume its regular schedule next week.

The Sewol ferry accident occurred on April 16, 2014. The ferry carried 476 people who were mostly students from Danwon High School on a school trip, the majority of whom perished after being trapped inside the capsized ship.
