As a testament of how successful "Noragami" season 1 was, the anime series will be getting a season 2 which will cover the Bishamon arc. Meanwhile, Funimation Entertainment will release the English dubbed series on DVD and Blu-Ray on July 7.

Meanwhile, for those who are looking forward for the second season, Anime News Network reported that the story will revolve on the Bishamon arc. Sun Rising Blog has a brief description on what to expect on "Noragami" season 2.

"In the world of 'Noragami,' gods need regalia to aid them in whatever they need to do, like fight evil creatures and fight each other. A regalia is once a wandering soul. Normally gods like Yato have only one active regalia. Bishamon I think has 5 at the start of the anime and she's actively using all of them," the source wrote.

"If I can still remember, Yato killed one of Bishamon's regalia, which angered the god. Why? That was unexplained up to the end. Actually, after Bishamon was introduced in a few episodes, she became a minor character towards the end of the first season. Maybe this is the reason - the Bishamon arc, which the 2nd season will tackle," the source added.
