Luhan Wishes Former EXO Band Mate Lay Good Luck With Future Career Endeavors

It seems the camaraderie between EXO members runs deep, as former EXO member Luhan wished current member Lay good luck on what is shaping up to be a blossoming career.

Luhan expressed his well-wishes when he was asked by Chinese news outlets what he thought of the news that Lay will be pursuing activities in Mainland China under the "Workshop" system set up for Lay by SM Entertainment.

"Everyone has their own way. I wish him well," said Luhan, reports the KPop Herald.

Luhan added that Lay was "lucky" for the opportunities that seem to be opening for him.

Luhan further revealed that he continues to be in private contact with Lay.

SM Entertainment created a new company solely dedicated to Lay, and Lay signed a new exclusive contract as part of the deal.

Luhan's situation is in stark difference with Luhan, who left EXO last year but continues to be entangled in a legal tussle with SM Entertainment.

Luhan, along with another Chinese member, Kris, are seeking to annul their contracts with the agency as they look to promote as solo artists in Mainland China.

Both Luhan and Kris have been appearing in Chinese variety shows, appearing in the cover of magazines, embarking on solo singing careers, and are even reported to be preparing for movie roles. Luhan is even rumored to appear in a Hollywood film with Matt Damon.

With Luhan and Kris gone from EXO, only two Chinese members remain in EXO, which are Lay and Tao. There have been rumors that Tao was looking to also leave the group, but SM Entertainment has denied the Tao departure rumors, calling them "completely untrue."
