JYJ is Now Free to Resume Album Promotions in Japan? Group Wins Lawsuit Against Avex, Biggest Japanese Agency

Group JYJ have now seemed to have concluded the long litigation against Japanese agency, Avex. The agency has also revealed their intentions of filing to appeal.

Today C-JeS Entertainment stated JYJ won the lawsuit against former Japanese agency, Avex, as the court ruled against the agency to no longer interfere in the group's activities in Japan along with orders to pay about 660 million Yen.

The court acknowledged of the fact that Avex has defamed C-JeS Entertainment CEO and ordered to pay a million Yen.

JYJ after the injunction against SM Entertainment in mid-2009 and signed an exclusive contract with Avex through C-JeS Entertainment. However in February of 2010 the two parties broke into conflict regarding the range of activities.

C-JeS explained, "In September, 2010 Avex announced to suspend all of JYJ's Japanese activities and making false accusations that C-JeS president is associated with gangs."

Then C-JeS Entertainment in response notified Avex to terminate the exclusive contract so that the group may continue activities in Japan. However Avex has been preventing the group from hold concerts and events, claiming exclusive management rights in Japan. As a result C-Jes filed the lawsuit back in 2011.

C-JeS stated, "We are pleased about the decision in Japan to acknowledge about the interferences of Avex against JYJ's activities in Japan."

C-JeS expects JYJ to resume activities in Japan based on the ruling.
