2AM's Jinwoon Lands Contract With Mystic Entertainment Following JYP Departure

2AM member Jinwoon has formally joined the Mystic Entertainment family.

Since March Jinwoon was reported to be mulling Mystic Entertainment as his new agency after the idol chose not to renew his contract with JYP Entertainment. Now he has been confirmed to have signed an exclusive contract with Mystic Entertainment, reports Koreaboo.

"Today Jung Jinwoon signed the contract. He will go forward with acting and singing activities," said Mystic Entertainment, reports Allkpop, confirming speculation that Jinwoon moved to the agency in order to pursue more acting projects,

Jinwon's fans viewed the agency moves as a positive catalyst as he transforms into a full-fledged actor-idol.

"At least if he goes to Mystic, he'll have a lot more broadcast opportunities. Mystic is the best when it comes to landing show slots and promos. Probably that's why Jinwoon was able to join 'Jungle' recently," said one of the highest-liked comments on Naver, according to a compilation by Netizenbuzz.

"Jungle" is short for Law of the Jungle, a South Korean reality show.

"I like him the best in 2AM though... the group may have dispersed but I hope they come out with another album together."

That hope is not outside the realm of possibility as JYP has assured that even though 2AM members have flown out to different agencies, this does not mean that the group is disbanding.

It is expected that all four 2AM members will be housed in four different agencies. Jinwoon has joined Mystic Entertainment, Seulong is with SidusHQ, Jokwon has decided to renew under JYP Entertainment, while Changmin will likely sign on with Big Hit Entertainment when his contract expires this summer, according to Koreaboo.
