Arnold Schwarzenegger And Abigail Breslin Star In Zombie Drama 'Maggie'

"Expendables 3" actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and "Little Miss Sunshine" actress Abigail Breslin stars in "Maggie," a zombie-drama from Lionsgate Pictures.

Breslin plays the title character who gets infected by a zombie virus during an outbreak. Schwarzenegger plays Maggie's father, Wade, who brings her back to their farmhouse after several weeks of searching. Maggie finds solace in the care of her father despite her impending doom. Henry Hobson directs it from a screenplay by John Scott.

The movie official plot synopsis appears below:

"A teenage girl in the Midwest becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. During her transformation, her loving father stays by her side."

Here's the movie's press release previously published by Screen Rant:

"The film tells the story of a deadly zombie virus that has put a plague on the world. When Maggie, a vivacious young woman becomes infected, her father brings her home to let her be with their family. As Maggie's condition worsens, their relationship is tested, a father's love holding on stronger than the disease. This heart-wrenching twist on the zombie apocalypse puts a human face on an inexplicable horror."

Coincidentally, Breslin also starred in 2009's zombie flick "Zombieland," alongside Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Woody Harrelson. Schwarzenegger will be appearing next in "Terminator: Genisys," with Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Emilia Clarke on Jun. 25.

"Maggie" will have a limited release on May 8, 2015.
