Usually during a group comeback, fan bases get to sit back and enjoy the many videos, performances, appearances, and songs by their favorite group.

Unfortunately for EXO-L's, this comeback has been plagued by controversy.

After several rumors about the remaining Chinese members Lay and Tao, it looks like Tao may not be returning for the remainder of EXO's 2015 comeback. Shortly after an announcement from his Tao's father in Chinese media, photos began circulating of Tao's injury that looks to be a combination of problems with his leg, foot, and ankle.

Fans expressed massive support for Tao upon seeing how serious his injury looks.

"Poor thing. I am so happy he left. He will be treated better now," commented Saffron Renouf on Facebook.

"And still some EXO-Ls are selfish. Let Tao rest and leave EXO for a year or so. If he wants to come back to EXO then lets welcome him with open arms," explained Justin Louis.

"What happened to Tao can happen later to other members, causing us to lose them one by one. Sm should really take care of their idols and do something about this. We are one! We cannot bear to see them hurt or overworked," explained Arij Briki.

Tao was absent from EXO's 2015 comeback promotions after an announcement that his ankle injury worsened. Subsequently, his father opened a Weibo account to express his desire to bring Tao back home for proper treatment. SM Entertainment confirmed that they were working with Tao's father in order to come up with a solution, only for Tao's father to release a statement to Sina that Tao already agreed to leave the group.

Tao's exit still remains somewhat shrouded in mystery, it seems particularly unfortunate because of how closely it follows Kris and Luhan's decision to leave EXO. Whether or not Tao is able to return, it is clear that he can at least count on support from the many EXO fans.
