Why Doesn't Girls' Generation Use the Term 'U.S. Debut?'

Girls' Generation's new song, "I Got a Boy" has been receiving much attention from foreign media. They seem to be the new hot sensation since Psy's "Gangnam Style" last year.

Although they have been receiving so much support, SM Entertainment stated that this is not a U.S. debut.

1. 'I Got a Boy', Was it a Song for the U.S. Audience?

"I Got a Boy" first received the response of it being too complicated. Some loved the song while some thought of it to be a mess.

This song was produced by composers from Norway, Korea, Sweden and France. It's unique beat can be complicated, but pleasing to the ear as time goes on.

This new style of music was not for any particular audience, but for Girls' Generation to try something different. They have never changed or tried a different genre or style before, and they felt that this would fit their group.

2. U.S Debut? Now it' about Exporting

Girls' Generation's U.S. debut is more of a U.S. export. While the group stays at the top in Asia, they promote their music through the internet such as YouTube and social networking sites.

For this new album, Girls' Generation did not step foot out of the country and yet they received an overwhelming response through the web and media.

An official commented, "Their goal is not to become the top, but to make the core of the world be Asia."

3. Body stays While Concert Goes?

SM Entertainment has begun the 'V Concert', which is a virtual concert in which they sell the concert itself, and not the singers.

This new hologram style concert allows concerts to happen even when the members are busy with their schedules.

They will begin this 'V Concert' starting this year and begin a new era of concerts and K-Pop.
