Big Bang And BTS Appear On iTunes Charts Around The World With Latest Releases

Two Korean idol groups made big waves on iTunes charts the first week of May.

YG Entertainment's Big Bang and Big Hit Entertainment's BTS (Bangtan Boys) each appeared on various iTunes music charts upon the release of their latest music. Big Bang's song "Loser" appeared on iTunes Song chart, while BTS's latest album, "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Pt. 1," appeared on iTunes Album chart.

Both songs appeared within the top fifty worldwide on their respective chart, alongside top worldwide musical acts.

Due to fluctuation, Big Bang's "Loser" was spotted in the top 40 most popular songs in the world on iTunes, at number 40, ahead of Arianna Grande's "One Last Time." As of May 3, the song was still in the top 100 songs on iTunes, at number 95.

BTS' album "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Pt. 1" placed as high as number 24 on iTunes' worldwide album chart, and as of May 3 EST it appeared within the top 100 albums in the 98th spot.

"Loser" and Big Bang's other release, "Bae Bae" also topped charts in South Korea. "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Pt. 1" and BTS's Single "I Need U" also appeared high on Korean music charts.

2015 has seen many K-pop songs and albums gain momentum on iTunes music charts and achieve success formerly unheard of from Korean music.
