He is no stranger to Singapore. Apart from Korea, he has done the most performances in Singapore. Jay shared during the press conference that he loves coming to Singapore and that is why he goes to Singapore often.
Dressed in a simple tee and a denim jacket and jeans, Jay displayed no superstar airs throughout the press conference. It was an upclose and relaxed press conference.
The humble and cool Jay listened attentively to each and every question being fielded to him and he replied sincerely. Questions on his new album, his possible collaboration with Big Bang G-Dragon and other artists, his regular day in his life were asked in the press conference.
Jay also answered questions from KpopStarz. He is open to doing collaboration with fellow American or Canadian Kpop artists. He also expressed his interest to work with Ailee whom he has known her for three or four years before she became a K-pop star. In fact, he revealed that he was trying to get her on his new album and was trying to talk to her company.
Known for his love for his tattoos, we have also asked him question on that too. Jay said that he was too lazy to count the number of tattoos he has. He thinks he got his first tattoo in 2010 when he was around 23. His whole left arm is filled and he has been doing a lot of retouching work on his left arm and trying to get it sleeved up. All his tattoos are very meaningful to Jay because his music, family, crew, what he stands for and his morals are all on his tattoos.
We also asked him how he wants to be remembered as? He wants to be an artist who put out great music, at the same time, a humble guy who is almost like their friend.
After the press conference, Jay had some interviews before having his meet & greet with his fans. He signed personalised posters for the fans and even obliging to the poses requested by the fans when taking photos with him.
