K-Pop Idols Discard Unconventional for Emotion?

K-Pop idols seem to have become more soft when it comes to music.

Before, idols used to bring out powerful and unconventional performances that shocked audiences. Now, idols have become more soft and emotional with more melodically and deep performances.

Unit group INFINITE H has recently been gaining attention for their 'emotional hip-hop' genre with their new song, "Special Girl."

Even powerful idol group B.A.P has softened up with their song, "Rain Sound."

Group NU'EST, that will be making a comeback this February, is also set to return with a more melodical and soft sound.

Group DMTN has also comeback with an acoustic style song called "Safety Zone." This song features an acoustic piano and electric guitar.

An official commented, "Last year, many groups came out with loud and energetic performances. The groups this year seem to be changing up their style because all the group's songs seems the same."

Other officials believe that some groups are starting out soft and will change back to their charismatic styles later in the year to show their wide range of skills.
