Kim Hyun Joong's Military Enlistment Imminent Despite Baby On The Way

It appears that Kim Hyun Joong will be enlisting to the military by as early as next week with non-official sources suggesting that the actor-idol will be reporting for duty on May 12, reports Allkpop.

Kim Hyun Joong's agency had previously requested for the postponement of his enlistment, which was initially scheduled for March 31 after news broke that his ex-girlfriend is pregnant with his child.

Since then, there has been a hanging question on when Kim Hyun Joong will enlist given that his ex-girlfriend is expected to give birth in September, but it seems the idol will not be able to wait that long, if the reports turn out to be true.

"He recently went on a trip to Jeju Island with his friends, he's now quietly waiting for his enlistment," said one source, adding that Kim Hyun Joong will be starting his initial five weeks of training at a camp in Gyeonggido.

Kim Hyun Joong's agency, Key East Entertainment, has not confirmed the rumored May 12 enlistment date.

"We can't tell you anything related to his enlistment. He wants to go as quietly as possible, other than that we have no comment," a representative reportedly said.

"He wants to go quietly, so in consideration of his wishes, the agency has decided to keep all the details regarding his enlistment private," another representative added.

The latest development in the controversy saga between Kim Hyun Joong and his pregnant ex-girlfriend, known only as Choi, is a lawsuit filed by the latter. Choi is asking Kim Hyung Joong to pay KRW1.6 billion (~USD1.4 million) in compensation for what she alleges as psychological and emotional stress suffered during her pregnancy, reports Allkpop.
