Novak Djokovic Skips Madrid Open For Wife Jelena Ristic And Baby Son Stefan: World Number One Shows Off On Twitter After Monte Carlo Win

Novak Djokovic is skipping Madrid Open to spend more time with his growing family. Seeing how the world number one has the tendency of winning every tournament he enters, including Monte Carlo this year, this may mean that some other tennis player has the chance to take the victory at Madrid Open 2015!

Instead of hitting the ball back and forth, Novak Djokovic is spending some well-deserved time with his wife Jelena Ristic and his newborn son Stefan.

Knowing that Jelena Ristic and their baby son doesn’t get to see him very often, this must have been a nice treat for everyone.

Novak Djokovic posted on his Twitter a picture with his wife.

Novak Djokovic credits his baby son Stefan and his wife Jelena Ristic for all the successes he has had recently. After his big win at Miami Open, the world number one is forging ahead at this year’s Monte Carlo with his eyes on the prize.

His fans are hoping that he can take another champion’s trophy home to his baby son Stefan and his wife Jelena Ristic.

According to CNN, “For some becoming a father is a tale of sleepless nights and juggling the demands of family life with a professional career. Not so Novak Djokovic, for whom fatherhood has proved the springboard for even greater success on the tennis court and the motivation for more triumphs to come.”

Novak Djokovic celebrated his Miami Open win with his baby Stefan back at home. His wife Jelena Ristic was also there to congratulate him in managing to uphold his world number one spot. Maybe this kind of behavior will set the tone for what Andy Murray has coming soon - his wedding!

Having that smile from his baby son may have made Novak Djokovic’s day that much better.

The world number one posted on Twitter a picture of him playing with his baby Stefan and captioned it: “This little buddy is my most precious trophy! No better way to end the day than with my family :) #NoleFam.”

The world number 1 is not just at the peak of his career, but also at the peak of his personal life. According to News.au.com, Novak sees balancing fatherhood and career a welcome challenge in his life.

“Having a child changes a lot,’’ he told the publication.

“It is the most beautiful thing that has happened to me and I feel fulfilled in every sense. In terms of my tennis approach, not much has changed, but now even more so I have motivation and added inspiration to play good and maybe have the opportunity one day for my son applauding and supporting me on the stands of the Australian Open, why not?”

The fact that he has his baby and wife to go back to at the end of the day has been a boon to his career as well. “A day off is spending time with my wife and baby as much as I can,’’ he said according to News.au.com.
