NU'EST Wraps Up Short Crowdfunded North American Tour With Toronto K-Pop Con, Dallas Concert

This week, K-pop boy group NU'EST successfully finished two performances in North America.

Following their tour through Europe late last year, NU'EST began a short North America tour on May 2nd and met with about 3,000 fans.

Their tour began in Canada through Toronto Kpop Con, where they were invited as a headlining act. The event had panels, dance workshops, merchandise vendors, fan club booths, and other K-pop related activities. NU'EST's agency Pledis Entertainment and demand-based concert making platform My Music Taste planned the appearance together.

A new Korean wave brought on by NU'EST captured attention of the local community media and Toronto's largest news station CP24 did a live interview with NU'EST on the day of the concert. NU'EST spoke about diverse cultures of Korea during the interview.

The next day on May 3rd, NU'EST successfully finished their second concert in Dallas, Texas among 1,500 fans.

The two performances were My Music Taste's first successful North American concerts, and to celebrate, an event was held to introduce the platform to people and give them chances to invite their friends to the concert.

After finishing the tour, NU'EST realized that they had many fans and concert demands abroad.

"We didn't know there were so many NU'EST fans in North America," explained a statement from Pledis Entertainment. "We will do our best to go wherever our fans are. We're planning to go to either South America or to North America depending on demand scale."

Meanwhile, My Music Taste will work with YG Entertainment to bring Epik High to Los Angeles on May 29th.
