Miley Cyrus spoke up about dating women as she launched a foundation for LGBT and homeless youths.

According to a report from Us Weekly, Miley Cyrus hinted to the Associated Press about dating women. The 22-year-old singer and actress admitted that not all her past relationships were "straight, heterosexual" ones.

However, the controversial celebrity did not give more details about her exact lesbian relationships.

The former Disney star previously shared her gender identity struggles in a feature with Out magazine. "I didn't want to be a boy," she told the LGBT magazine.

"I kind of wanted to be nothing. I don't relate to what people would say defines a girl or a boy, and I think that's what I had to understand."

"Being a girl isn't what I hate, it's the box that I get put into," she added.

While Miley Cyrus did not exactly admit to dating women, her foundation called Happy Hippe Foundation openly supports LGBT and homeless youths.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer explained how she wants to use her status to help young individuals who are homeless and identify themselves as LGBT.

"The position I'm in, I feel like I've got a lot of power, but so many kids don't feel that way. They're under their parents' rule," Miley Cyrus said.

"When you have all eyes on you, what are you saying? And that's what I had to ask myself a lot. It's like, I know you're going to look at me more if my (breasts) are out, so look at me. And then I'm going to tell you about my foundation for an hour and totally hustle you."

Miley Cyrus said that people dating individuals from the same gender and those without homes all struggle with issues that should not be ignored.

"It's something that everyone sees," she said.

"It's like the birds chirping. We're consciously ignoring it at all times, but it's always happening right in front of us."

"It's not going to be an overnight process. You've got to get into a lot of people's brains and you've got to really make this a topic," Miley Cyrus said about her foundation's advocacies.
