‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ Release Date Confirmed For 2016? Neil Druckmann Reveals Motion Capture Is Done

After its release date was pushed a few months back from its initial 2015 release, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is now set to hit the shelves in 2016.

As previously reported by iDigital Times, game director and creator Neil Druckmann revealed that the "Uncharted 4" is progressing nicely after it has been done taking motion captures for the game.

Druckmann hinted in a tweet the newest progress of the game. As stated by the same source, it would only be a few months away before the developers could edit what they took from the motion capture to apply it on the characters of the game to be played on the PlayStation 4.

In line with this, director Bruce Straley explained to their patient fans why they need to delay the release date of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."

"We've made the difficult choice of pushing the game's release date," Straley said in a PlayStation blog post. "Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title."

Meanwhile, Neil Druckmann is positive about the outcome of the game and even claimed that he wishes to inspire other developers to follow his lead of creating a high quality game with a top notch multiplayer mode.

"I hope its success inspires other developers to, even if you're making an action game, take your characters seriously and treat them honestly," Druckmann said as reported by IB Times. "Really love your cast and wrack your brain about how you -- through gameplay, through interactivity -- get the players to connect more to those characters no matter what game you make, whether you make an RPG, a shooter or a choose a branching adventure game."
