Former EXO Member Luhan Nabs Award For '20 Once Again' Role

It appears Luhan's popularity is only continuing to grow in China as the singer-turned-actor has added yet another award under his belt.

Luhan (or Lu Han) may have left the group that helped him rise to fame, but he's showing great promise in China where he recently received a Most Popular Actor award.

On May 9, the former EXO member attended The 22nd Beijing College Student Film Festival Awards Ceremony and won the award for Most Popular Acto for his role in 20 Once Again, the Chinese remake of the popular South Korean film Miss Granny. In his acceptance speech, Luhan expressed his thanks and desire to improve and become a better actor in the future.

Since his departure from the SM Entertainment boy band EXO, Luhan has been making quite the name for himself as an actor, having been featured in several successful films thus far. Additionally, Luhan has appeared in numerous advertisements around China and is expected to take on more roles in the future.

In late 2014, Luhan starred in popular Chinese films 20 Once Again and 12 Golden Ducks.

On April 18 Luhan took home the award for Best Newcomer at the Beijing Movie Festival for his role in 20 Once Again. Luhan also previously won Most Valuable Male Star at the 2014 Baidu Moments Conference and Person of the Year at Young Choice 2014, among many other awards.

In other news, Luhan has been confirmed to star in the upcoming Hollywood film The Great Wall. Luhan will star alongside esteemed actors Matt Damon, Andy Lau, Willem Dafoe, and more. The Great Wall is scheduled to be released in 2016 through Universal Pictures around North America and several other countries. The Great Wall will be Luhan's first Hollywood film and is expected to bring in quite the crowd.
