Monsta X Hope To Nab 2015 Year-End Rookie Award For Debut Album 'Trespass'

New boy group MONSTA X held their debut album showcase on March 13th in Seoul and revealed that their goal is to receive a Rookie Award this year.

In a music industry that seems to be ever growing, new K-pop groups often struggle to compete in the real time music charts upon debut. With weeks of different awards ceremonies to honor Korea's talented musicians at the end of each year, solidifying future success is often continigent on rookie awards.

With their fresh debut, the boys of Monsta X hope that their fan base will continue to grow and that they will be recognized for their efforts with a Best New Artist award later on this year.

Made up of 7 members ( Jooheon. Shownu, Kihyun, Wonho, Hyungwon. Minhyuk, I.M). MONSTA X is Starship Entertainment's first hip-hop group and became known to fans through Mnet's survival show No. Mercy.

Their debut album Trespass includes the title track "Trespass" and 6 other tracks including "No Exit," Should I Be Honest," "One Love," "Blue Moon," "Steal Your Heart," and "Interstellar."

Produced by Rhymer, the title track "Trespass" features a trap beat, addicting synths, and powerful sound that reflects MONSTA X's youthfulness. Additionally, a blend of calm vocals and disorderly raps will create MONSTA X's unique color.

Trespass was released on May 14th.
