Singer and television host Eric Nam has created a Snapchat account (ericnam), adding to the growing list of K-pop idols who are posting updates on the social media platform.

Eric Nam revealed his public Snapchat through an Instagram post on May 14 where he also expressed some confusion using the image-sharing app.

"This thing is confusing... Snapchat ericnam," he said on Instagram.

Fans welcomed the singer to Snapchat and proceeded to add him on their friends list, while those who were not yet on the platform professed a need to join as well to get updates from their favorite idol.

"Welcome to Snapchat," "Added you," "I need to make one now," said fans on Instagram.

Eric Nam is very active on Instagram, posting selfies, updates, food shots and videos for his more than 378,000 followers, and based on his most recent updates on Snapchat, he plans to upload unique photos on his public account.

Having a public Snapchat is rising especially among K-Pop idols and groups with American roots. Eric Nam joins the likes of hip hop group Epik High, f(x) member Amber, BTOB member Peniel and miss A member Min in Snapchat.

Notably, Epik High used their public Snapchat to announce the details for their summer U.S. tour.

In related news, Eric Nam is currently preparing for his first solo concert on June 20 to 21 in Seoul.
